Locus Award

Established in 1971 - the Locus Award is presented each year to winners of the Locus magazine's reader's poll. Between 1971 and 1979 there was an award for "best novel" - since 1980 this has been split into "best sci fi novel" and "best fantasy novel" - up until the millenium there was also a category for "best horror novel" however this award is sadly no more.
