Otherland

Otherland is a tetralogy written by Tad Williams, set on a future earth sometime in the 22nd Century. Describing many advancements in technology - including fully immersion simulations the series offers interpretations of many classic literary works from the Iliad through War of the Worlds to the Wizard of Oz.
