Aliens Series by Alan Dean Foster

The Aliens Series of novels were originally based on the hugely successful film series. With Aliens born from the twisted, brilliant imagination of HR Giger and the films directed by such luminaries as Ridley Scott and James Cameron. The series combines elements of science fiction and horror in quite brilliant manner.

The books expand upon this rich universe - with the film serialisations by Alan Dean Foster and then original novels written from the early 1990's onwards. From 1992 to 1998 Bantam Press published 9 novels from authors including Steve & Stephanie Perry, David Bischoff and Robert Sheckley. These expanded Universe books were largely based on the Graphic novels published by Dark Horse Comics.

In 2005 Dark Horse Comics began publishing an additional 5 original novels written by Diane Carey, John Shirley, Stephani Perry and B. K. Evenson under the Dark Horse book publishing imprint DH Press.

From 2014 Titan Books have begun to reprint the original serialisations by Alan Dean Foster while also publishing new original story novels by Tim Lebbon, James A. Moore and Christopher Golden.
