Earthlight

Earthlight was launched by Simon & Schuster in 1997 and was run by long-time fan of Science fiction John Jarrold. It quickly became a leading publisher within the genre.

The imprint was closed at the end of 2003, some time after Jarrold left. The official story being that Simon and Schuster were "down sizing" however there has been much rumour and speculation regarding the actual real reasons (one being that the head of S&S Ian Chapman didn't like SF).

Published authors included Freda Warrington, Jon Courtenay Grimwood, Christopher Priest, Conrad Williams and Guy Gavriel Kay.
