Kate Wilhelm

Kate Wilhelm is an award winning author of science fiction stories and was inducted into the science fiction hall of fame in 2003. She has won the coveted Hugo award in 1977 for her post-apocalyptic novel "Where Late the Sweet Birds Sang" which also won the Locus award the same year.

She's won the Nebula award on no less than three occasions and has been nominated many more.

In addition to writing science fiction she has written a number of mystery novels, principly in the "Barbara Holloway" series and "Constance and Charlie" novels.
