Michael Crichton

Michael Crichton (full name John Michael Crichton) was an American author, producer, director and screenwriter, best known for his Jurassic Park series of novels and films.

His work tends towards the techno-thriller with heavy use of technology and a fast action packed plot, with much of his work reflecting his medical background. He has used a number of pseudonyms including John Lange and Michael Douglas (with his brother Douglas). Many of his novels have been turned into very successful films including Jurassic Park, the Lost World, Congo, Sphere, Rising Sun, Disclosure and Timeline.
