World Game by Terrance Dicks

World Game is a Doctor Who novel featuring the second Doctor who and has been written by Terrance Dicks.

The Doctor has been detained by his own people, the Time Lords and has been put on trial, accused of interfering with the affairs of other races and planets, the greatest crime for a Time Lord.

He is sentenced to Exile on Earth, however before he is committed to his exile, he is sent on a mission to brave the Trenches on the Great War (World War 1) and on to the Terrors of the French Revolution.

The Doctor finds himself on a mission he doesn't like with a companion he can't get on with and surrounded by danger at every turn.
