The Gun is a science fiction short story written by Philip K Dick and was first published September 1952 in the US magazine Planet Stories.

The Gun is a much more traditional tale than most of Philip K Dick's work, an intelligent weapon of mass destruction is left switched on long after it's creators have turned to dust. Good solid tale, well told and one of Dick's earliest works.
