The Colors of Space is a science fiction novel written by Marion Zimmer Bradley. The novel involves Bart as he is pursuaded to try and discover the secrets of the Lhari Warp Drive fuel. To accomplish this he is surgically altered to appear as a Lhari and goes undercover as a crew member of a Lhari Ship destined for the Lhari homeworld.
The trip opens his eyes to show the Lhari are not the evil race that he has been led to believe and he starts to question the morality of stealing from them...
