Orson Scott Card is an award winning American author of both science fiction and fantasy. He is most noted for the science fiction series Enders Game and the fantasy series The Tales of Alvin Maker.
He is also a critic, public speaker, political activist and has also taught at the Southern Virginia University and was awarded the post of "distinguished professor".
Orson is also involved in teaching people to write, having written a number of books about the subject, published lessons on his website, which also features a writers workshop and serves as a judge on the "writers of the future" competition.
