Mission: Impractical is a Doctor Who novel featuring the sixth Doctor and has been written by David A. McIntee.

The Doctor and his companion Frobisher (a shape-shifter) are pursued by bounty hunters. They run two rogues called Glitz and Dibber - old acquaintances who appear to have become involved in something very big: a covert government agency on Vandor Prime is forcing the pair to turn their criminal talents to its own ends.

The Doctor and Frobisher find themselves reluctantly drawn into the scheme themselves, but what are the authorities really up to and what part do the Orgon raiders play?

Surrounded by a web of deceit, pursued by ruthless killers, the Doctor's must join Glitz to pull off the crime of the century. Failure will result in an interstellar war costing the lives of millions...

Amusing fast paced plot, the story is a little thin in places and more Frobisher would have been good, but overall a good read.
